In order to ensure a balanced choir sound, we are currently accepting mainly tenors and basses, as we already have a good number of sopranos and altos.

Then just drop by at our next rehearsal – we’re excited to welcome fresh voices, whether you’re experienced or new to choral singing! You can find all information about rehearsal times and locations under “Rehearsal dates and locations”. If you like, feel free to fill out the “join a rehearsal” form in advance – it helps us get to know you.

Try it out – no commitments

You can sing with us in one project or concert to see whether our choral vibes are right for you. Simply join the relevant rehearsals – and afterwards decide at your own pace whether you’d like to become a member of the Berliner Konzert Chor e. V.

Project Participation

We welcome singers of all ages, backgrounds, identities, and experience levels. That’s why we offer the option to join as a project singer for one concert cycle.

If you fall in love with singing with us (which happens more often than you’d think 😉), we’ll be thrilled if you decide to become a member!

Membership in the Berliner Konzert Chor

Anyone who enjoys singing, who is able to regularly attend rehearsals, and wants to grow musically is welcome to become a member. The membership fee includes fifteen minutes of professional vocal coaching per month to help you to further develop your voice. Of course, a few musical basics help: reading music, musicality, and vocal accuracy. Admission is decided by the musical director through a short, friendly audition.

Concert participation – how it works

Members:

* At least 70 % rehearsal attendance for the concert required

* If less than 70 %, a short audition will determine participation

* At least 60 % attendance required to audition

Project singers:

* At least 70 % rehearsal attendance required
